In a conservative Croatian Catholic community, seventeen-year-old Benedict lives a double life. To his family and priest, he is the dutiful, model son. But away from their watchful eyes, he is drawn to Joseph, a targeted peer enduring abuse from his strict father and ruthless community gossip. Deep within a secluded forest space, the two boys are able to share hidden moments of intense warmth and discovery. But back at the church, during Sunday mass, the suffocating environment and the escalating tension in Joseph's home life forces Benedict into a confrontation.
